Biography
Louis H. Palmer, III (Tersh) is a Professor in the English Department at Castleton. He teaches courses in American Literature, Public Speaking and Composition. Research interests include regional literatures, the Gothic, nature and outdoor writing and vampires. He serves as Gothic Chair for the Popular Culture Association. He has published articles on William Faulkner, Flannery O’Connor, Cormac McCarthy and others. He recently completed a book, Vampires in the New World (ABC-CLIO, 2013), an historical survey of the vampire figure in American literature and film.
